Potentializing the Vertical City
In this current era of metropolitan world building, it’s no secret that condo developments are operating with significant momentum. Toronto is one such city that I believe is ‘off to the races’ – whether you care or not, it’s rather hard to miss. Everywhere you look, it seems yet another building is closed down, structure demolished or parking lot torn up, with signs put in place denoting a keen developer’s intention to build a new condominium. Condos sprout up as plants do, thriving in all sorts of environments. What results is an over-abundance of similarly styled, towering structures amalgamating into one densely packed grid of glass panels that dominate our field of view.
